Program Overview:

Admission Process

Army Institute in Business Administration (Army IBA) seeks applications from prospective candidates, who fulfill BBA admission qualifications as specified in Army IBA Admission Guideline. We usually call for admission on or before September of each year through media advertisement and Army IBA website notice board. The candidates are advised to apply manually or online. Admission in BBA program run by AIBA is open to all Bangladeshi male and female citizens provided they meet admission requirements. The program is also open to a limited number of foreign students (male/female) in compliance with government rules on the subject.

Selection Process

The selection process will be as follows:

a. MCQ Admission Test: All candidates are required to attend an MCQ admission test of 80 marks, where he/she will have to qualify. Subjects of examination and distributions of marks are shown in the table below:
b. Duration of Admission Test: The duration of admission test is 60 minutes.
c. Marks Distribution: 
Written Admission Test : 80 marks
HSC Result : 10 marks
Viva : 10 marks Total : 100 Marks
d. Final Selection: Final selection is made on the basis of merit. The merit list is prepared according to marks obtained by candidates in the written admission test. Final top-down merit list along with waiting list will be displayed at Army IBA Notice Board as well as in Army IBA website.

Eligibility for Admission

To be eligible for admission to the BBA program at Army IBA, a candidate must pass SSC and HSC examinations or their equivalent in any discipline. A candidate who has passed the HSC or equivalent examination in the current year or the year before is allowed to apply. However, candidates must obtain the following GPA or points:

a. Minimum GPA of 3.5 in SSC and 3.25 in HSC or equivalent and a collective GPA not below 7.0.
b. Minimum average grade point of 2.5 in GCE O-Level and 2.0 in GCE A-Level. Letter grades of O-Level and A-Level subjects are converted to grade points as follows: A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1. The average grade point is calculated by averaging the grade points of the 5 best grades for O-Level (including Mathematics) and the 3 best grades for A-Level. However, the candidate must not have any ‘F’ grade in any subject at both levels.

Admission in the Program

The selected candidates must collect Admission Confirmation Letter from Program Office and complete admission formalities within the given time frame by paying required fees. The following rules will apply in this regard:

1. Candidate failing to complete admission formalities within the prescribed date and time will not be considered for admission.
2. Student who fails to attend the class within two weeks of the commencement of 1st semester class will lose his/her student stutus.
In case the prescribed vacancies are not filled up by the candidates in the first merit list, other merit list(s) will be published from the waiting candidates for admission, who will have to follow the same procedure for admission.
